 This place is not easy to get to. You can't drive all the way to Schefferville, and the weekly train service into Schefferville is of little or no use because of scheduling conflicts with our floatplane service.
Most of our guests use an airline called Air Inuit. Air
Inuit has air service between Montreal (and Quebec City) and
Schefferville every Tuesday and Friday. Our plan for 2010 is
the following: Contact Air Inuit (www.airinuit.com) and reserve seats for the Friday flights from Montreal (or Quebec City) to Schefferville and return (800-361-2965). The outgoing flight leaves Montreal at 7 AM (8:15 AM from Quebec City) and arrives in Schefferville at 10:45 AM. The return flight on the following Friday leaves Schefferville at 2:55 PM and arrives in Montreal at 6:40 PM (Quebec City at 5:30). Be sure and make your reservations early. Before doing so, however, be sure to check with Bill in the event that he has worked out a special fare for Champdoré clients.
 All guests must be in Schefferville on Friday morning at about 10:45 AM so that we can take them by floatplane into main camp. We will provide surface transportation from the Schefferville Airport to the floatplane base. After the arriving guests are dropped off at main camp, the floatplane returns immediately to Schefferville with the previous week's guests. The returning guests are then transported back to the Schefferville Airport so as to catch their return flight to Montreal.
